A spam-bot found my site last night. I wonder how long before it tells all it’s friend-bots about me? So, I clamped down a bit on comments. No posting links, no using certain words. We’ll see how it goes. Hopefully, the bot is advanced enough to see that it’s not working and stop trying.
I’m getting Game Developer magazine again, hooray! I haven’t been getting it for over a year now and I’ve missed it a lot.
Still no RSS feeds to the sites that track that sort of thing. Our host closed my ticket, claiming everything was fine, so I opened another one. They were supposed to get back to me within 24 hours, but so far, nothin’. Let me tell you how to piss off your customers. Refuse to tell them what’s going on. Chances are they’re too stupid to understand and if they’re smart enough, they must be a hacker with malicious intent.
I think I’m going to publish (via PDF) a core rules book for my RPG system. This is going to be a setting free exploration of the core mechanics. The problem I’ve been running into trying to document it thus far has been that I’m using NPC voices to explain things and their politics have been getting in the way of clarity. I think there’s a place for that, but I also think the system deserves a concise (heh, me? concise?) and clear explanation.
Lots of good things churning in my brain this morning. Nothing ready for exposure to air.
