    Happy Friday!

    By Corvus | September 30, 2005

Yesterday’s wind brought much rain. Very cleansing, very nice.

Good for you, Greg. I hope you make the splash you’re hoping for.

$100 (Linux) Laptops… You know, for kids!

I’m missing the deadline for Rockstar’s Upload competition. You didn’t even know I was going to try and submit something, but there it is… now I’m not.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is now over. I missed it this year. Not just in the “I didn’t get to go” way, but in the “my bones ached to be in costume and on the village lanes entertaining the patrons” way. Ah well, I’ll be auditioning for PA Faire next year. Of course, the Knittiot and I have an idea to open a shop at some point, so if that pans out in time, I’ll get out there that way instead.

    Finally, LEGO Vikings!

And now… the “Hey, guy!” Guy.

    Hey, guy!

Have a great Friday and a terrific weekend!

This is one of the top reasons to have a kid — so you know about the cool toys.

Two Christmases ago, with cloth sails.

Rose Art has a set of warriors (including a Viking) in their Magnetix line that will be making an appearance around here this Christmas.

And believe me, everyone needs Magnetix . . .

Believe me, not everyone needs Magnetix. Parents, if you have an infant or toddler in the home, or guests who are young, you need to be especially wary. Read reports about the recent death and over 30 injuries in American children ages 1-8 from ingesting or aspirating the tiny magnets from Magnetix. RoseArt’s MagnaMan series described above has the same type of powerful little magnets.

One clarification – the CPSC received reports of over 30 incidents involving small magnets including several serious injuries in children age 2-8. Spread the word to any parents you know! Magnets pose a different risk from “choking” – two or more swallowed magnets can quickly cause serious damage to internal organs.
