NRT: Call for Entries

It’s time for the November Round Table! To participate, simply post on the chosen topic at some point over the next ten days, (the deadline being 11:59 PM, November 17th) follow the instructions for including a small snipper of code at the bottom of your post, and send a permalink via email to manbytesblog@pjsattic.com.

I think my choice of topic may surprise you this month. On the surface it doesn’t appear to be something I would give a lot of credence, much less attention, to. You can trust me when I say that I have a uniquely Man Bytes Blog post in the wings. In past Round Tables, I’ve expounded upon my topic choices, providing a titch of guidance, suggestions for approaches, etc. This time, I want to see what you make of it without my perspective muddying the waters. I will, however, encourage you to take a run at the subject from an unexpected place.

video Games & Addiction. With the all of the attention on supposed video game inspired violence, we haven’t heard as much about many of the original concerns about video games: namely, the concern over this month’s Round Table topic: Video Game Addiction.

Have fun, I look forward to reading what you come up with!

  1. This is going to be a tight one for me, time wise. But I usually manage to come through. Fortunately, it just about fits with one of the half a dozen topics I have on my ‘to post’ list. :)

  2. Excellent! I hope you have time to tap it out. The topic came at me out of the blue this weekend while chatting with the Knittiot. I may even convince her to participate this month!

  3. The real problem is that I only have today and tomorrow to sort it out, as I am off to Amsterdam for the better part of a week, as part of my celebrations for the Wheel of Fortune (an agnostic religious festival; I haven’t decided whether to post about the Wheel onto my blog or not…). I can’t fit it in today, as I am off to lecture at a conference in a neighbouring city, so it’s Thursday or bust. I plan to do it tomorrow, though, and I am now sufficiently on top of my work that it shouldn’t pose a problem. Thus ends this direct line to my stream of consciousness. :D
