December Round Table: Call for Entries

    By Corvus | December 11, 2006

Last December’s Round Table topic was a bit cynical, focusing on the commercialization of the holiday and the industry itself. This month I thought it would be nice to lighten the tone a bit and show that I’m not completely a flint-hearted bastard. I flirted briefly with giving a topical nod to Josh’s neuvo-pagan holiday, Apokalyptica (link), but ultimately decided to go with something a little more (or is that a little less) universal.

Topic: Jack Frost Nipping At Your Nose Holiday music is full of, playful activities, joyous imagery, and (mostly) good feelings. Take a favorite holiday tune and translate it into a game design idea. Feel free to be as frivolous, or as serious, as you care to be!
Deadline: 11:59 PM on Thursday, December 21st

So there you have it, a (hopefully) fun topic for the season! If this will be your first Round Table (and what a perfect topic to join in on, eh?), don’t forget to scan the FAQs (link) for details on getting your post included. Also, please don’t link to your post in the comments here, but use the Contact Form to send me the link and I’ll get it listed ASAP!

I look forward to seeing what you all come up with and I wish you all the best of this holiday season!

It’s a shame that the climax of the Christmas story is never rendered in song, as _Herod Fusion: Baby Slayer_ would be right at home in the current games market. >:)
