    It’s An Odd, Odd, World

    By Corvus | October 23, 2008

That title could easily apply to Fable 2, which doesn’t actually cripple itself, but certainly gives itself a slight limp while attempting to be clever and compelling. However, posts exploring that game will have to wait, as the title of this post is actually referring to the next game on the Vintage Game Club’s roster.

I absolutely do not have the time to add another game to my schedule. However, since the title in question is the first Oddworld game, Abe’s Oddysee (O:AO), I’m going to have to try my best to work it in. I played O:AO on the PC when it was first released and despite my frustrations with platformers, I still fondly remember farting and chuckling my way through it’s levels.

Michael’s announcement, with more details about the game, can be found here. The Vintage Game Club, as always, meets at the forums here.

OddWorld takes me back, the series is one of my favorites. The only one I missed was Munch’s Oddysee. Wow, it seems that O:AO and O:AE aren’t being sold anymore for the PS1. Well there goes participating in the Vintage Game Club :(

Sigh, Amazon was acting up and didn’t understand Odd World meant to look for OddWorld. This is one of those times I wish blogs had the ability to edit comments, so I don’t look completely foolish :) .

Oooh, I’d completely forgotten about the farting in Abe! My anticipation for this game is only increasing as we get closer to the start-date.

I think I have a PC copy of this game somewhere… I’ll go through my CDs (physical media!) when I get home.

I’m pretty sure I have a copy of the PC version stashed away somewhere. Another game for the backlog… *sigh*
