Round Table Extras

The official Blogs of the Round Table badges are ready for download. I believe in options, so there’s two styles available. If you’d like to display one of the two BoRT badges on your blog, or in your individual BoRT entries, please feel free to download the zip file that contains 3 different sized .GIFs of each badge with transparent backgrounds (The Tudor rose badges look pretty good against all backgrounds, but the coat of arms looks better against a light background).
If you’d like the source artwork in an Inkscape formatted .SVG file, let me know.
If you’d like to design more BoRT badges, please feel free to join the BoRT council and get feedback on your designs from the other contributors. If you come up with a design that gets group approval, I’ll happily host the downloads for you.
I want to make sure people who don’t care about badges don’t skim past the next bit of news, so I’m going to announce it a bit boldly…
BoRT Wordpress Plugin!!
That’s right–the other, even bigger, piece of news I have is for those of you who host your own Wordpress blogs. Joe Tortuga of Cult of the Turtle has released a BoRT plugin that makes it a breeze include the drop down text box at the end of your post. No more cutting and pasting the IFRAME code from your previous posts!
The plugin can be downloaded from its homepage and this is just the beginning. Joe has offered to coach me through the process of building upon his work and we’re looking at providing scripts that work on other platforms as well (including ways around the IFRAME restrictions that some platforms enforce).
For future reference, the download links for the badges and plugin will be located on the BoRT’s FAQ. I also plan on formatting the BoRT’s main page to display the current month’s participants in the same list style as the regularly updated BoRT post.

Also, my promised “All Narratives are Emergent Narratives” post will be pushed into next week. Yesterday’s post rather forced itself upon me and I need to play catch up today on the To-Do list items it displaced.
